What’s the Opportunity?

Our client is looking for Business Analyst/Data Analyst with the role offering the chance to lead business analytics initiatives in a fast-paced Capital Markets environment, focusing on the analysis of client revenue and resource consumption. As the subject-matter-expert in client value calculations, you'll partner with both business and technology teams to drive impactful data solutions that empower decision-making for key stakeholders.

What Will You Do?

Business Analysis & Requirement Documentation

Lead client revenue analytics projects to measure profitability using financial data

Perform in-depth data analysis and create functional specifications for client value calculations

Document milestones and success criteria for production deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

Partner with technical teams to review solutions and provide clear technical deliverables

Facilitate business reviews to present technical solutions and acquire necessary approvals

Provide subject-matter expertise throughout the product lifecycle, from design to implementation and third-level escalations

Stakeholder Management & Solution Delivery

Coordinate with Sales & Trading teams to align business and technical goals

Ensure seamless communication between business and technology teams to drive successful project delivery

Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to meet regulatory and business expectations

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Capital Markets with a strong focus on business and data analysis

Expertise in financial products (FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, etc.) and their impact on profitability

Solid understanding of Capital Markets Risk Management, Compliance, and regulatory requirements

Advanced SQL querying skills and experience working with cloud-based data projects

Expertise in data analytics tools such as Excel, Python, Jupyter, and Tableau

Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional technical specifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Finance, or a related field

Other Required Skills

Knowledge of data visualization techniques and tools

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

Strong team player with a problem-solving mindset and innovative approach

Energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to manage tasks independently

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Familiarity with big data and cloud technologies such as Hadoop, Databricks, AWS, and Azure

Understanding of Machine Learning techniques, including predictive modeling and NLP

Key Relationships & Impact

Engage with front-office users, including Sales, Client Strategy, and Business Management teams

Collaborate with Technology and Product teams to ensure smooth delivery of data solutions

Regularly interact with stakeholders to proactively address data control deficiencies
