Description:
The Modern Workplace Consultant is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining applications and solutions optimized for the productivity and collaboration needs of our clients using the Microsoft 365 platform. This role provides technical insight and direction on leveraging and customizing various M365 workloads, focusing on SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Viva, and Power Platform for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, estimate, build, and maintain solutions on the M365 platform using SPFx, App Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph in Visual Studio or VS Code IDEs, adhering to best practices.
Implement and configure advanced features in M365 tools, such as SharePoint search, metadata management, records management (Purview), and workflow automation across tools (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
Gather effective technical business requirements.
Create technical documentation for quality assurance and transition to operation activities for project work.
Enhance on-premise SharePoint and hybrid solutions, and assist in migrating SharePoint and intranet-in-a-box solutions to Microsoft 365 cloud.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship for implementation teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on professional development experience.
Deep knowledge of core Microsoft 365 payloads, including SharePoint (online, hybrid), Teams, and Power Platform.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, identity in cloud, compliance, and security.
Hands-on migration experience with Sharegate, custom PowerShell scripts, or similar tools.
Demonstrable experience creating custom solutions on platforms/technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Office Add-ins, SharePoint Framework, Adaptive Cards, Actionable Messages, Azure Automation, and Power Automate.
Working knowledge of one or more programming languages/platforms: SPFx, React, PowerShell, .NET, JSON, Node.js, Angular, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, KQL, Power Platform expressions.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
Ability to work independently on self-managed development projects as well as in a team environment.
Ability to quickly investigate and learn new technologies and third-party products.
Desired Skills:
Agile or business analysis-related training or certification(s).
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate, Teams Developer).
Experience implementing workflow automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint Designer, Nintex, Azure Automation, RPA).
